SOAR: Seizing Opportunities for Achievement & Retention

SOAR is a six-week academic, on-campus, summer program for a selected group of First-Time-In-College students who demonstrate a need to "brush up" on their academic skills before entering college.

Brother to Brother

The mission of the Brother to Brother Program is to increase the retention of male students earning baccalaureate degrees at the University of Central Florida, thereby increasing graduates prepared to pursue graduate education or to help meet the future work-force needs of the global market.

If neither of your parents or your guardians have a bachelor's degree, YOU are a First Generation student.

Multicultural Academic and Support Services (MASS) assists multicultural and first-generation students.

  • Seizing Opportunities through Achievement and Retention Program (SOAR) - A six week summer bridge program designed to help students make the transition from High school to College.
  • First Generation Program - This program assist first generation students by providing guidance and resources to promote their self esteem, confidence and academic achievement at the University.
  • Brother to Brother Program - B2B is intended to increase the retention and graduation rates of multicultural and first generation males at UCF. Workshops, rap-sessions and social events are planned in order to help this population become academically successful.

Multicultural and First Generation Knights Networking Reception

When: January 30, 5-7:30 PM, Student Union Cape Florida 316.

The Reception is an opportunity for knights representing diverse and often underrepresented campus populations to engage with premiere employers who recruit at UCF.

This event salutes the rich diversity among the UCF community and encourages current students as well as alumni to immerse themselves in career planning and development activities.
